Beipu

Beipu (Chinese:北埔鄉; pinyin: bei3pu3xiang1) is a town in Hsinchu County in Northern Taiwan.
Beipu is well known in Taiwan as a center of Hakka culture, especially for its special Hakkanese blends of tea and nuts called leicha (Chinese:擂茶; pinyin: lei1cha1).

As of 2004 Beipu had a population of 10,514, of which 98 percent were Hakka[1]
