Braehead Arena

The Braehead Arena is a 5,300-seat[citation needed] multi-purpose arena in Renfrewshire, Scotland, in the western part of the Glasgow conurbation. The arena was built in 1999, and is located within the Braehead Complex.

The arena is currently the home for the ice hockey team Braehead Pirates. It has also hosted a variety of local sporting events and concerts. It was also the host for the 2000 World Curling Championships.[citation needed]
The WWE have used the arena many times for their annual tours. It seems that it is the default arena for that tour as they have visited yearly since around 2004 and as recently as November 2008. It was the venue for a RAW live event and Smackdown live event in April of 2009 and will be the venue for the WWE RAW DX Invasion live event in Glasgow in November of 2009.
As well as sporting events the arena regularly is host to many entertainment events such as The Singing Kettle, Bratz and Playhouse Disney Live. The arena has also specialised in Ice Shows with both Dancing on Ice and the High School Musical:ICE SHOW having been held at the Arena.[citation needed]
The arena are regular host to the Fantazia and Coloursfest Raves as it attracts audiences of approximately 7,000 ravers.[citation needed]
The arena also played host to Great Britain's home Davis Cup Mens Tennis Tie against Ukraine in March 2009.
