Czartoryski - is a Polish coat of arms. Properly is called Pogoń, also Pogoń Litewska, (Lithuanian Chase), and was used by several families. Unlike in the western parts of Europe, where one coat of arms was used by a single family, it was common, among the nobility of Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth to share the same coats of arms. Coat of arms of a single family was extremely unusual, and was often a version of another existing coat of arms. In the case of Pogoń Litewska, the Czartoryski family had three towers added at the lower part, the rest of the coat is identical with Pogon used by the other families. It has been used by the Gediminid Czartoryski family.
