Jan Cornelis (Jan Kees) de Jager (February 10, 1969 in Kapelle) is an IT entrepreneur and politician in the Netherlands. He is currently staatssecretaris (junior minister) for fiscal affairs in the fourth Balkenende cabinet, for the Christian Democratic party CDA.
In 1992, while still at university, De Jager founded IT company Spectra Vision. All business activities were handed over to ISM eCompany (Innovative Solutions in Media) in 1997, the company of which De Jager was CEO until his appointment to the cabinet on February 22, 2007.
During the 2008 G-20 Washington summit he represented the Netherlands during the absence of Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende and Minister of Finance Wouter Bos; due to the recent death of the prime minister's father.
