[edit] Towns
There are no cities within the county of Berkshire, though there are a number of towns. Reading has been the county town since 1867 (succeeding Abingdon), and is larger (by population and area) than a number of official cities – and, as such, is a contender for the largest town in England.
[edit] Civil parishes
The following list of civil parishes is compiled from List of civil parishes in Berkshire. Parishes that are also towns are omitted, and Reading (as an authority) is unparished.
