The Needham Research Institute[1] or NRI is one of the world's leading centres for the study of the history of East Asian science, technology and medicine. It is part of the University of Cambridge in England. The institute is named after the scientist and historian Joseph Needham.
The institute is housed in a building on the grounds of Robinson College in Cambridge.
