x is a period of time to be determined per consensus.
- If the latest revision of a page is older than x hours and is not sighted, it is marked as expired.
- The latest expired revision of a page becomes the stable version if no later revision has been sighted.
- When a revision is marked as expired, it is noted in the log.
- [expired] appears next to the latest expired revision, if no later revision has been sighted.
- Allow to deactivate the expiration system for a single page.
- List previously reviewed pages with a non-reviewed and non-expired latest revision to Special:OldReviewedPages.
- List previously reviewed pages with a non-reviewed and expired latest revision to Special:ExpiredReviewedPages.
- Abuse filter:"Please keep in mind that this extension's aim is not to catch simple vandalism, as some bots already do. This extension will help preventing harm from some known persistent vandals (hagger), with very specific modi operandi. It won't catch childish vandalism or page blanking"
- Allow the abuse filter to prevent a revision from ever expiring.
- Allow the abuse filter to cancel the automatic sighting of an edit by a surveyor and to prevent the same surveyor from sighting it.
- Allow the abuse filter to require sysop rights to sight a revision.
