[edit] Purely chatty post
Hey there, since we've run into each other a few times in the past and I know you're from Hong Kong, thought I'd tell you I had my first visit to HK about a week ago and had a great time. Really fascinating place. Cheers, Heimstern Läufer (talk) 07:25, 3 January 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Nicholas Tse
I was wondering if you were aware if there was an established convention on the order of names for Chinese people in WP? There has been a tug of war going on at the above, with editors changing it from Nicholas Tse Ting-fung to Nicholas Ting-fung Tse and back again. I'm getting rather sick of it. Ohconfucius (talk) 15:44, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
- Not sure if there's any consensus on WP for that, but the common convention in real life in HK is (if they're going to write their names in that form at all) to do "Nicholas Tse Ting Fung". But this usually isn't done unless it's a formal situation like in a news article or on a CV. Hong Qi Gong (Talk - Contribs) 17:34, 4 January 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Join WikiProject Koei Warriors Games!
Would you like to join the Koei Warriors Games WikiProject? It is everything Dynasty Warriors, Samurai Warriors, and Warriors Orochi! To participate, add your name to the list of participants and apply {{User WPKoeiWarriors}} to your user page.
If you are not sure what a WikiProject is, it is a club of Wikipedians interested in the WikiProject's subject and helping to improve articles of or related to that subject. I saw you greatly contributed to the Samurai Warriors article, so I figured I'd ask if you wanted to participate in Wikipedia:Wikiproject/Koei Warriors Games. You do not have to, and neither are you obliged; I am just asking. -BlueCaper (talk) 23:24, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Han Chinese
Hey, look out for the Han Chinese article will you. Anonymous users are keep reverting back the article to version that contains statements of dubious origin (Chinese language article and article from political sources). The anonymous users comments in the talk page are pretty incoherent as well (with name callings and then some). I think it might be best to semi-protect the article.--Balthazarduju (talk) 22:40, 14 January 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Seriously, just get STUFFED
You are clearly nothing but a trojan horse for the continued marginalisation of Cantonese people. Long live Cantones independence!! Nationalist320 (talk) 10:15, 16 January 2009 (UTC)
[edit] the above vietnamese user who is currently living in australia
User:Nationalist320, AKA User:Sea888, AKA USer:David873, crossed the line in his major sockpuppeting here, trying to push a POV that cantonese are vietnamese yueh.

[edit] Hua-Yi zhi bian and the Unification of All under Heaven
Hi! If you have time and if you're interested, could you take a look at the above article? It has made lots of progress since an earlier version of it was deleted and since you last looked at it. Your advice would be welcome on how to improve it further, and maybe on how to rename it, because the current title appears a little bulky. Cheers, Madalibi (talk) 10:49, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
[edit] comment you posted
"Well, we're talking about identity politics. I don't have a source for it on hand, but I believe Han people are so named as a reference to the Han dynasty itself. And it should be asked, were there really "Han" people before the Han dynasty? Remember, the short-lived Qin dynasty, which came immediately before the Han dynasty, served to unite about 7 different tribes or nations of people, and marked the first unification of China"
WRONG- xia, shang, and zhou dynasty already were untied before zhou split into warring states, they were SAME PEOPLE, NOT DIFFERENT TRIBES. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 141.155.150.235 (talk • contribs) 2009-02-22T22:59:17

[edit] Hello
As seen on the talk page, you've shown interest in Han Dynasty in the past. I was wondering if you would comment on the talk page about the recent changes I've made to the article, just to see if you think anything extremely relevant is missing. Thanks.--Pericles of AthensTalk 19:09, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
- Really doubt I would spot anything that you missed. But sure, when I have some extra time this weekend, I'll take a look. Hong Qi Gong (Talk - Contribs) 20:30, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
[edit] WikiProject interview?
Greetings! I've been writing WikiProject reports for The Signpost lately, and I've decided to do the next one on WikiProject China. Would you be interested in participating in an interview? If you're interested, just leave me a message either here on my talk page. If you're not interested, would you mind suggesting another of the project's members who you believe to be qualified? Thanks! --Cryptic C62 · Talk 20:00, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
- I'm really only semi-active on WP these days. But without a doubt, ask User:PericlesofAthens for an interview. I consider him one of the best editors I've came across and contributes greatly to Chinese history articles. Hong Qi Gong (Talk - Contribs) 03:53, 30 March 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Brand Hong Kong
Dear Hong Qi Gong,
I work for the Brand Hong Kong Management Unit. The current Wiki Brand Hong Kong page contains a lot of out-of-date and inaccurate material, so we are trying to update the page. Why did you remove my update of June 16? I included plenty of reference material to justify my changes. I would appreciate it if you reinstate my changes of June 16 - it will save me the time and trouble of doing it again. I have already lost many hours of work trying to find how to contact you!
We also intend entering information about Brand Hong Kong of the main Hong Kong page. We would appreciate it if you do not undo our additions.
Many thanks, Mark. (If you wish pls email brandhk@isd.gov.hk) —Preceding unsigned comment added by PMJ Regan (talk • contribs) 08:32, 17 June 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Brand Hong Kong 2
You have again reinstated inaccurate and out-of-date information about BrandHK - please refrain from doing it again! We have noted your points and removed anything that might remotely be described as self-promotional from our edit. Nor does any of the new material breach any copyright - all material used is the product of Brand Hong Kong Management Unit - it is our product! We cannot breach our own copyright. I have posted a revised edit today which contains purely factual information about BrandHK and its history. Please bear in mind that we have other changes still to come. For example, the current BrandHK logo on the Wiki page is incorrect so we are going to remove it and post up the correct image in the coming days via Wikipedia Commons. We have a legitimate right to edit inaccurate or out of date information about BrandHK. I have also placed a message for you on my talk page. PMJ Regan (talk) 09:02, 18 June 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Brand Hong Kong 3
Please stop interfering with our edits! Your logic is flawed and you are acting being the bounds of logic - and outside of Wikipedia's interests. Further obstruction will lead us to seek your removal from Wikipedia's spectrum. Pls see my talk page for further details. —Preceding unsigned comment added by PMJ Regan (talk • contribs) 02:40, 19 June 2009 (UTC)
