[edit] Proposed deletion of Kinlock Shelter

[edit] Your recent edits

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button Image:Signature_icon.png located above the edit window. No, I knew. Just goofed. Jo7hs2 (talk) 17:40, 23 December 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Ulchee

What are Ulchee? it appears in the article Kinlock Shelter. I tried to google it, I couldn't find a lot information. Fangfufu (talk) 19:26, 23 December 2008 (UTC)

The Ulchee were a tribe of Native Americans. I don't think they were a particularly large or well documented tribe, so that might explain the lack of information. It is also possible they were a subset of Cherokee indians, but I don't really know much beyond that. I've only seen the name described as a tribe, nothing more. Jo7hs2 (talk) 02:00, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
Congratuations for finding the correct spellings!!! It has bothered me for a while. Fangfufu (talk) 00:50, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
And also, what's CCC? I might be able to add something. Fangfufu (talk) 19:28, 23 December 2008 (UTC)
The CCC was the Civilian Conservation Corps, which was a Great Depression era New Deal program in the United States. They constructed a variety of camps (both for work and recreation) and constructed a variety of buildings and features as a way of employing out of work Americans. [edit] Welcome to WikiProject Alabama!

Hi there! Welcome to the Alabama Project. We are glad to have you on board. I am JodyB, one of the members and an administrator here. If I can be of any assistance, please let me know. I live in Daphne, across from Mobile. JodyB talk 17:43, 24 December 2008 (UTC)

Glad to be with you. I just spent three years hiking and photographing Alabama while I was in school at Samford. I've left the state, but I'm slowly filtering what I know into Wikipedia. Jo7hs2 (talk) 22:45, 24 December 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Issues in deletion of Diazepunk

I seem to have screwed up in the nomination process, the article did not properly add into articles for deletion.Jo7hs2 (talk) 02:41, 27 December 2008 (UTC)

Problem solved. Apparently the capital letter in nomination screwed something up? Jo7hs2 (talk) 02:48, 27 December 2008 (UTC)

[edit] diezapampunks or whatever the band name is

You said "butt" he-he-he!

No problem, its not about people, but about content  ;) Thanks!--Cerejota (talk) 19:48, 27 December 2008 (UTC)

See why AGF is so important? If we are hard-heade but flexible, good things happen. Now this article stay, without question, instead of a weak consensus, we have a strong one. Thanks!--Cerejota (talk) 18:25, 28 December 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Bangladesh M.H.M High School & College, Doha-Qatar

Yeah, I got them...as I got many other recent changes. I won't lose my temper defending the article, but I'll check it out every now and then. Hopefully it will get the atention of others recent changes patroler and if vandalism continues blocks will roll!. Cheers!. --Seba5618 (talk) 22:29, 30 December 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Essex bus route 804

I saw your shift of opinion on this AfD. Reading it, it struck me that it had struck you, and I wrote a comment after yours aimed at the author(s), that someone thinks this is important and has put a lot of effort into it, and has really done a nice job. Could this be a school project? Looking at the history, I don't think it is. But the article seems harmless even if it doesn't meet the normal criteria for inclusion. Forgetting the rules, how would it harm Wikipedia? Disk space is not expensive. But Google would likely give the Wikipedia entry on the search term prominence, so I suppose if the timetable changed or the route was canceled, people might find incorrect information. It might also encourage advertising in countries where there is more competition on bus routes. I don't see these as very strong negatives. On a scale of -100 to 100, I would rate this one as -3.

Maybe it is a school project, which is why I am writing here, not on the AfD page. Any thoughts or ideas? I really do not have strong opinions, apart from finding a way to avoid endless debates on the same subject. Aymatth2 (talk) 02:38, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

Eh, I'm holding out on any discussion of the article on the merits now that the AfD is such a horrible mess. I generally think that having an encyclopedia entry for every bus route is a little excessive when lists already exist, but that is an argument distinct from deleting non-notable bus routes. Jo7hs2 (talk) 03:40, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

It is a mess. I sort of want to find a more general way of resolving messes like this in the future. And I sort of think I should quit AfD debates for a while and go back to writing new articles on villages, rivers, islands, UFOs and other non-controversial topics. Loch Alsh is a peaceful place. Aymatth2 (talk) 04:24, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Goldendoodle

Hi. I have reverted your recent edits to goldendoodle. At least two of them were helpful to the article. Mine went with the section it was in and the other showed a puppy, which is important because the appearance of these dogs changes a lot as they grow up. The third was a quality image. I understand the need to not have a billion images on the article, but let's not delete ones that are useful. Illinois2011 (talk) 23:28, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Amateur Radio Association at the University of Maryland

I see that you're interested in amateur radio. I've been thinking about getting my license myself. Do you have any tips for me? Illinois2011 (talk) 00:41, 5 February 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for the advice. I already have the ARRL book, so I guess the next step is to find my local club. Illinois2011 (talk) 22:47, 5 February 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Mike Wozniak

I see you removed the Prod form the article. Why? ttonyb1 (talk) 01:39, 15 February 2009 (UTC)

Noted on ttonyb1 (talk) to see article talk. Jo7hs2 (talk) 01:44, 15 February 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for the explanation. I don't believe he would survive the AfD (I am not convinced the articles support notability), but I will let someone else nominate. Enjoy... ttonyb1 (talk) 01:50, 15 February 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Emancipating Something New

Okay, I am going to try to find some references. Thanks for your help! NewAfrika (talk) 02:38, 15 February 2009 (UTC)

Not a problem, on the contrary. If the author can source the article then it should not be deleted. §FreeRangeFrog 02:59, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
By the way, the only reason why I tagged it was because I did a quick search on the subject title and found nothing. Zero hits. This is usually a big warning sign for hoaxes. However, in this case if we're talking about a French film from the 30s then I guess searching for the title in French would have been more productive :) §FreeRangeFrog 03:03, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
Left a message on the French equivalent to the Village Pump. We'll see if we get something from them. Otherwise, assuming no response from NewAfrika, I'll just prod it. §FreeRangeFrog 21:20, 21 February 2009 (UTC)
Agreed on the AfD vs PROD. The response I got from the French Wikipedia was that it's probably a hoax. We'll give it another day or so. §FreeRangeFrog 23:43, 21 February 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Mike Wozniak Edits

Hi, Thanks for deleting my post on Mike Wozniak.

If you took the time to look at the references I used, you would have found out that it was all correct. Please edit my style - but do not acuse me of vandalism when it was so well referenced. This was my first attempt to help the Wiki experiment. I am too busy to rewrite the whole page again. It took me ages. I am very demoralised. Please return the content as it was and I will tone down the style if you wish.

Best wishes, RhysRhys H Thomas (talk) 19:23, 12 April 2009 (UTC)

Addressed on user's talk page. Jo7hs2 (talk) 23:50, 12 April 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Re: North Alabama Lions

  • Just doing my job here. Category:Articles to be split, Has a backlog. So.. I'm trying to clean up the backlog - that’s all.
  • by the way, I been doing this all day. --Michael (Talk) 02:48, 14 April 2009 (UTC)
Don’t worry about it. You did a great job on fixing it. I will keep a eye on it. Keep up the good work. . --Michael (Talk) 14:57, 14 April 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Welcome to WikiProject Plants!

[edit] Masanori Hirasawa and Shohei Suzuki

Thanks for the quick work. I honestly don't know much on the subject... I just recent joined the Article Rescue Squad and thought that looked like a mighty fine article to attempt to save. If I find anything else, I'll be sure to add it in. I'm not sure it really helps the cause of saving the articles and proving notability, but on the MPC's Minor Planet Discoverers, they are listed as the 113th most prolific discoverers of Minor Planets. Unfortunately, since they seem to have stopped working in that capacity in 1998, the internet doesn't have much for me to find. -- PEPSI2786talk 01:44, 15 April 2009 (UTC)

[edit] PLEASE

I read your comment at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Trimper's Haunted House. Can you please add those references in. We REALLY cannot afford to have this article deleted.--The Legendary Sky Attacker 03:22, 11 May 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks for the heads up

Re this. I won't contest. Thanks for the heads up! I appreciate your courtesy! --Bensin (talk) 19:59, 28 May 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Florida Whig Party

Yeah, I have no problem with leaving the Talk page the way it is. Who then was a gentleman? (talk) 01:03, 31 May 2009 (UTC)

What do you think about the block? I don't think it was appropriate, she seemed to be discussing her edits. Who then was a gentleman? (talk) 01:09, 31 May 2009 (UTC)

OK. I hope she continues to discuss after she comes back from her block. Who then was a gentleman? (talk) 01:20, 31 May 2009 (UTC)

I can buy that. Though one wonders, if this is not a state party of the main national party, why it was linked to from the main national party page. Who then was a gentleman? (talk) 01:25, 31 May 2009 (UTC)

If you want to revert it, go ahead, then I'll list it. Who then was a gentleman? (talk)

OK. Cheers. Who then was a gentleman? (talk) 18:09, 31 May 2009 (UTC)

I certainly don't think you were being incivil, and I hope you don't think that I was. Who then was a gentleman? (talk) 19:21, 31 May 2009 (UTC)

I've withdrawn my nomination. Who then was a gentleman? (talk) 19:10, 1 June 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Comments on contribution to Eric Joyce site

Thanks for your positive comments much appreciated. Will have a look around at other British Poliitican sites where I do actually know something with the aim of ensuring that the site has a neutral POV. Quite a challenge as temps can run quite high esp at the moment.Suecooper (talk) 09:59, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
