I was going through my upload log, and I noticed a file I had uploaded had been deleted. I didn't remember getting a heads-up it was up for deletion. But I see you did leave one. I don't know how I missed it at the time.

Most NASA images are in the public domain. Would you mind refreshing your memory, and then telling me why you nominated this one?

Your nomination doesn't say why you nominated it -- unless the "OR" you put was your justification -- but, if it was, and by that you meant "original research", I can't imagine how that would make sense. Geo Swan (talk) 11:25, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

Well, I stand willing to be corrected, but isn't that only a valid reason to delete {{fairuse}} images -- not public domain images? Geo Swan (talk) 21:15, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

I think per WP:IFD orphaned image is a reason for the image to be deleted in this process. Orphaned fair use images are being tagged with template orfud and go through a different process and eligible to be deleted after 7 days of tagging. --WinHunter ^(talk) 02:53, 14 February 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Advice on a deleted article

Hello! I'm contacting you because according to the Wikipedia guidelines if I want a page that exists unprotected, I should try to ask the protecting admin first before making a request on the Unprotect page. I'm a student of the London College of Fashion and would like to create an article on Bodymetrics as my contribution to the WikiFashion project. It was deleted by you in 2007 and is now protected.
