Yarmouth Consolidated Memorial High School, abbreviated YCMHS, is a secondary public school located in Downtown Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. YCMHS is part of the Tri-County Regional School Board and is the only high school located within the town of Yarmouth.

At a public meeting held in the evening of July 26, 1898, the building was purchased for $8000 by the School Commission to be used as the Yarmouth County Academy. [1]
On February 20, 1949 the academy was totally destroyed by fire. As the news spread, many students, new and old, gathered in horror to watch it burn to the ground. The fire lead way for a new Yarmouth High School which was built in 1951. [2]
YCMHS growth continued, the high school has since expanded to the second-floor of the PA. Best Centre, with five additional regular classrooms, a Learning Centre, and a second staff room.[3]
The high school also boasts an International Baccalaureate program for students. 2007 was the first year that the IB program has been offered at this school.
A new school was announced on April 8th, 2008 and it will be built on a new location on Forrest Street. The sod turning ceremony taking place on Friday, December 12th, 2008.
